Purpose

Facilitate the voluntary registration of net zero commitments from entities (organizations/ industries/ government).

Offer a centralized platform for collating net zero commitments and progress from time to time.

Provide standardized reporting guidelines, including clarity on emission scopes (Scope 1, 2, and, eventually, Scope 3).

Ensure alignment with India’s National climate goals and International frameworks such as UNFCCC, Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and GHG Protocol.

Entities that successfully declare their commitments on the portal will receive an Acknowledgement from MoEF&CC for their efforts.
The portal will act as a dynamic hub to consolidate climate action efforts, fostering transparency, credibility, and accountability in the journey towards net zero emissions.
